The MAC timing adjuster allows a GT or Cobra owner to manually adjust their ignition timing. Advancing ignition timing will increase HP with higher octane fuels. Lets say you're going to the drag strip... you can fill up with 100 octane fuel and advanced your timing 10 degrees. This will increase your HP, without decreasing engine life. Backing off ignition timing will allow you to take out some crucial timing... needed to prevent knock on aggressively tuned or supercharged engines.
